Media representatives are welcome to attend the 2017 SEC Academic Conference.
The SEC Academic Conference wants to ensure a professional forum in which presenters and other participants can discuss science-based issues freely. Concerns about proprietary research data and other information should be acknowledged and respected. Likewise, media representatives should be able to gather information they need for factual reporting.
Public affairs staff members can help media arrange requested interviews. Members of the media should wear their designated media badge provided at check-in and identify themselves as a member of the media when talking with conference participants.
Media should obtain permission from Harriet Laird in MSU’s Office of Public Affairs at 662-325-7460 before filming, taping, or otherwise recording any activity or interview at the SEC Academic Conference. Keynote speeches may not be recorded.
Participants and attendees are permitted to take photos during the conference. By registering for this meeting, all participants agree to allow the conference to use their photo in any subsequent conference-related publication or website.
Audio & Video Policy
Participants and attendees of the SEC Academic Conference are not permitted to record, film or tape any scientific session in its entirety. Keynote speeches may not be recorded.
